On your first clear night, expect sharp views through the middle of the field with a genuinely wide field of view (9.3 degrees) that makes it easy to locate what you're looking for in the sky. The 7x magnification is gentle on the arms - you can hold them rock steady for as long as you need, which matters far more than raw brightness when starting out.
